relax with cupping

Cupping is extremely relaxing and can be applied like a massage. However instead of putting pressure on muscle tissues, the vacuum created by the suction of the cups draws up muscle fibres and fascia tissue, releasing tension and increasing blood circulation initiating a healing response. Traditionally in China, the Middle East and part of Europe cupping is a home treatment method used to treat cold and flu

I’d really hurt my back, couldn’t straighten or anything. It had been bad for 2 weeks and I’d seen 2 physios with no improvement. After just 2 appointments with Phil I can stand up straight and move again.
Phil really takes the time to understand the problem fully and tackle the root cause of it. He is patient, calm and reassuring. I would not hesitate to recommend him and it’s great to know he’s on hand for whenever I damage myself!

about cupping

Cupping involves creating a vacuum using a flame inside a spherical glass cup or using a suction pump. The cup is applied directly to the skin and held in place for a few minutes. The suction from the cup draws up the skin and underlying fascia and muscle tissues stretching them. Research findings suggest that application of cupping increases local blood circulation and initiates activity in the immune system. This has traditionally been used in China, the Middle East and parts of Europe to remedy cold and flu type symptoms, but also as seen at the 2016 Olympics with gold medalist Michael Phelps can be used to treat muscular tension and injuries. Please be aware that cupping does cause some bruising, this is quite normal and part of the treatment response which with heal after a few days
